Yes, silent and listen are anagrams. For me, the first thing that
popped into my head was Miles Davis. Silence can speak
volumes.

That’s an insightful observation, mole. For some reason, I’m reminded of one of my favorite, short Wendell Berry poems. It goes: "Best of any song / is bird song / in the quiet, but first / you must have the quiet." Neither of your subject words is in it, but the spirit is close.
