Pat Metheny Unity Group, featuring Chris Potter on sax and bass clarinet, Metheny's longtime collaborator Antonio Sanchez on drums, Ben Williams on bass, and multi-instrumentalist Giulio Carmassi, have announced a tour of Asia and Australia for this October, featuring music from debut album, Kin (←→), released this past February on Nonesuch Records. The tour begins at the Sejong Center in Seoul, South Korea, on October 5, then heads to Japan for a three-night run at Sumida Triphony Hall in Tokyo and stops in Osaka, Nagoya, and Kobe. The Unity Group then has a four-city tour of Australia, with stops in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Canberra, culminatnig at the Sydney Opera House on October 24. From there, it's up to Singapore for a show at the Esplanade Concert Hall on October 27.
