Pat: Country Poem is one of those songs that remind me of the simple joys in life. It's been a favorite of mine for a long time. Any story behind the song? I wish you would include it in your live shows, it would be a great addition. AND... Hopefully you are flattered by what must be continual requests for transcribed music - I would really, really like to learn to play this song, but not knowing if it's one or two guitars or what tuning you are using, I've not dared attempt to transcribe Country Poem. I've heard a PM transcription book is coming out soon. Is this true ??? Thanks for your great music and humble, sharing attitude. thanks vince. country poem was another one of those that was just improvised in the studio. it is played on the same nashville tuning strung guitar that i used on phase dance and several others around that time - with the bottom 4 strings of the guitar tuned up an octave.
