I met you after a Blues Alley gig back in 1990 when you were playing with Gary Burton, and I asked if there was likely to be anything more released from the Song X sessions. You suggested then that it was possible. Is there any more news, because that music remains extraordinary in its intensity and adventure?

i am thinking of getting together with ornette and going through all that material again for a special release - yes, there were a bunch of things that didn't get released. believe it or not, we filmed the making of the record as well, and i have never even looked at the tapes. that was a very special project and i am glad you enjoyed it.
