Subject: Do your parents listen to your music?
Category: General Questions
From: Laura Kramer Dec 18 1998 (North Potomac, MD)
Question:

Hi Pat,

First of all, thank you for taking the time to communicate with your fans like this. Your enthusiasm for your work is evident not only in watching you perform, but is also present here through your responses regarding your musical experiences. As someone who sits at a computer all day, this site (and being able to plug in one of your CDs)makes the day a whole lot brighter.

The challenge for all of us will be trying to come up with original questions. Here are mine: Do your parents listen to your music on a regular basis? Have they seen a live PMG show? What is their favorite album of yours?

Thanks for the music,

Laura

Pat’s Answer:

hi laura,

that's a great question.

yes, they listen, and i value their opinion very much. they have been to many concerts and i always love it when they are out in the crowd. they are both excellent musicians in their own intuitive ways and of course are always able to tell when it is really "happening". i think that their personal musical preferences are more in the area of records like "map of the world" (i think they really liked that one) or "secret story" (i dedicated a tune to them on that one.) my mom has no problem telling me in no uncertain terms what she DOESN'T like too!.

they are a great couple - they just celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary and are inspiring in a lot of ways! without their support, my brother and i would certainly not have become the musicians that we are now.
