Bookmark and Share Well, I’m thinking that those manufacturer’s of the Pat signature stripped shirt are raising their price 2-3x and trying to make a quick buck off Pat’s fans. As a matter of fact, my wife got these dark blue stepped shirts at. Costco .... a little small, so I went and got the largest ... I wore them to one or two concerts ... a bit small but otherwise perfect. Oh, well, a hopelessly avid Pat fan !

Bookmark and Share Pretty sure I found the exact brand, Saint James: https://www.saint-james.com/us/men/men-breton-shirts-and- polos.html If you look at some photos or live footage, you can see the same left arm logo. They look pretty high quality. Made in France of heavyweight carded cotton. I think this is now solved!

Bookmark and Share I recall Pat saying he only wears the stripe shirt each night so he doesn’t have to think about what to wear on stage - but we all know it goes deeper than that. You see that striped shirt enter the auditorium, you hear the first chord and you know for the next 3 hours the Earth’s rotation will be perfect, conflict and anxiety will evaporate and you will be transported to that astonishing place where you were when you first saw that shirt and heard that chord.

Bookmark and Share There’s a certain irony in the fact that Pat has never, to my knowledge, released a song or album whose title contained the word "Horizon." We have "Travels," "Beyond the Missouri Sky," and "Cross the Heartland" but the only explicit references to where we’re going lies in the horizon stripes of the iconic shirt itself. See, it all makes perfect sense now. The outfit complements and completes the musical message. If this was all just by complete accident, then it’s sure been a happy accident indeed.

Bookmark and Share Blisterfree, right on, you located it ! The original Breton French Navy stripe design was the classic Pat shirt. Thanks. Description :::Gant Rugger Breton. You don’t have to be Pablo Picasso or a fisherman to look good in a Breton shirt. A timeless option with that casual charm. This classic shirt first appeared in the French navy but later developed into a true icon garment. Pablo Picasso, James Dean and Pat Metheny are some personalities caught on picture wearing it. Gant Rugger‘s take on the classical nautical styling with some great attention to detail. This premium lightweight cotton sweater is ideal for transitional weather. A recreation of a vintage breton stripe knit, classically styled and expertly finished in a loose knit cotton. Ribbed collar, cuffs and hem. On sale over at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Bookmark and Share Did any of you folks see the shirt that Pat wore long, long ago on one of the late night shows--probably Letterman? It was longsleeve and had some gold-yellowish shoulder material; kind of fancy but cool-looking at the same time. That was the only time I recall his wearing it. Anyway, I hope you find "the classic" of your own, patsfan. / And Happy Birthday, Joni!

Bookmark and Share Just Googled ’striped shirt.’ Turns out the signature Pat tee is starting to catch on, so says the internet of things. Myself, more partial to ideas. The shirts merely indicate a mind prepossessed by more expansive matters. Therein lies their true mystique.
