patsfan May 22 2020 at 9:56 PM	Seems like eons that Pat has performed west of the Mississippi ! But lo and behold I just received a notice from the Crest Theater in Sacramento, Side Eye will be there on Sept 28 . It isn’t listed here. I know Mugsy might be interested, but then they must be visiting San Francisco also. Got my ticket and can’t wait. My big question .... How does Pat travel around the world constantly. Amazing !

mugsy Jul 12 2020 at 6:03 PM	Yeah Pat’s Fan , I saw that it was 2021, and didn’t want to burst your high! I figured you’d see it soon enough. I almost bought tix to a show in Connecticut by accident. I was on the Oakland Fox Theater website and they listed a Side Eye show 11/21. I was just about to click “purchase” when my wife noticed that they sent me to Connecticut! Gotta be careful!!
MarcNebo Jul 11 2020 at 10:37 PM	I find the best source for Pat’s schedule is his website or agent’s website, The Kurland Agency. I also signed up for Updates from the Pat Metheny Database (Marc Morvan’s website). I received an email the other day regarding Pat with Steve Rodby at the Jazz Alley in Seattle. The venues book shows way in advance and are not updated very often. t’s a different World right now and many venues that have Jazz Series haven’t released there 2020-2021 season.
patsfan Jul 11 2020 at 12:44 AM	Hey, Mugsy ... I must have been hallucinating when I saw Pats 2020 concert on this website.. oh, well, I have something to look forward to 15 months from now. And I totally agree, I think Pat should come out with a COVID album for his US fans. It’s not a coincidence he’s been predominantly in the rest of the world for the past 3 years. Hopefully we’ll get another optimistic version of Them Way up’. We need something very special after this pandemic ! I’m exited about some incredibly beautiful compositions !
mugsy Jul 09 2020 at 8:03 PM	The immediate future of live jazz isn’t happening = at least live. I am hoping that Pat may stream something soon. Or perhaps another solo album like "One Quiet Night". The liner notes talked about how he was up all night at his home studio playing around and ended up with a very beautiful album. Wouldn’t that be nice? I hope all of you are staying safe and healthy. This whole pandemic is really crazy.
MarcNebo Jun 22 2020 at 12:38 PM	tomm: I just checked Jazz Alley website. Pat Metheny Side-Eye was scheduled September 17-20. 2020 but was probably cancelled. At Pat’s website Schedule it is not there.

MarcNebo Jun 19 2020 at 8:43 PM	patsfan: I just visited Pat’s website and checked the Schedule. The Sacramento CA date is September 27 2021 and is a Monday. Looks like only one date this year in August in Europe. He has shows booked from February 2021 until November. I am sure he will fill in with a lot more dates when venues reopen. To early to determine what band he is touring with. It would be cool to see the PM New Quartet play music from From This Place.
patsfan Jun 19 2020 at 12:05 AM	Amazing ! Holy Moly, Mugsy ! It’s official, here on his schedule, right after he returns from Norway, he’s at the Crest in Sactown on Sunday, , Sept 27. But no other venues listed in California... maybe later ? ? I’m. so happy and looking forward to fall. If that’s the only venue in NoCal ( which I doubt) let’s connect at the concert.
MarcNebo Jun 17 2020 at 10:30 AM	Last night I was visiting Pat’s agent’s website and there were no US shows booked for this year. Mexico City was closest to US.
patsfan Jun 17 2020 at 12:51 AM	Hi Mugsy ... Well, typical of the paranoid Covid era, all plans for seeing Pat in California ... and it seems anywhere in US in 2020 his concerts are cancelled. Only Jambase is still advertising the Sept 28, 2020 show. Pat was going to be featured at the Monterey Jazz Festival about the same time but that has been totally cancelled until 2021. So, it looks like in late Sept 2021 Pat will perform at the Crest and the MJF, and I would guess also in SF. Hopefully our country recovers it’s sanity and leadership by that time.
mugsy Jun 12 2020 at 7:45 PM	Hey Patsfan, Thanks for the heads’ up! I have been searching the places he usually plays in SF and Oakland - haven’t found it yet. I will keep looking for sure and I may end up in Sacramento!
