Concerning BLM, by pure coincidence I happen to be reading an excellent book, "Black’s Law" by Roy Black, a
defence lawyer, who presents 4 of his cases in minute detail. It’s unputdownable. The first case, "Alvarez", is about
how he defended a police officer who shot a black suspect. Great food for thought.

The Basement got personal and acrimonious and became a tinderbox as participants delved into politics. We went
too far, IMO. Pat was right to shut it down. I miss it, though. But I also think it is not entirely unrisky to air certain
views in the current global climate.
