As I mentioned in earlier posts during this COVID-19 mess I have been re-listening to my extensive collection of Pat’s CD’s. I have also been exploring this website, especially the "News" area. The 3/13/2014 NPR Interview with Pat regarding "Kin" is very interesting. I don’t want to post a "spoiler alert" but there are several surprises. Listen to it as it is worth checking out. |

Kooltrane: I have read other interviews with Pat, starting back in 1979 were he mentions the same thing. So for that
interview I thought he would be at 50percent. Checkout some of the other "News" posts. Very enlightening into the mind
of Pat. I really enjoyed his NEA Jazz Masters speech and Neuroscience Conference Keynote Speech. If you can watch
the whole interview after his speech or at least the first 15 minutes you will enjoy it.

Cool interview. I was especially intrigued by his comment that he’s at a level where he can play only about "25percent"
what he hears in his head. Its a testament to PM’s restlessness and and continuing search for excellence. Thanks for
the reference.
