I)I’ve traveled around the would, but nothing like Pat , and year after year he is around the world !!, Just
imagine his memories of each concert , 150 or so per year. I can’t imagine having that experience.... it must
be the ultimate human experience in my opinion !j |

impressively all over the civilized world.. again, can’t imagine being Pat, all the
memories he has had from 45 years of touring the world . Still boggles the
imagination!! And, he will be visiting me here in Sacramento in2 weeks !!!
Can’t wait. ....

patsfan : I just went to the PMD website and did a count for his 1977 World tour. If I counted correctly I came up with
160 days and 242 shows. He turned 23 years old in 1977. Forty-four years later he still is going strong. I can’t even
imagine how many shows he has done in those 45 years. Any Math Majors at AG want to tackle that one?

patsfan : Have you ever checked out the marc morvan Pat Metheny Database website? Marc has done a great job at
compiling Pat’s Concerts Chronology. It’s amazing how many shows he did in the early years when he would do four
nights in a row at Amazingrace (Evanston IL) and two shows each night. Back then he didn’t have enough material to
do his marathon (2 1/2 - 3 hour long) shows. He still does a hundred plus shows a year. Multiple that by how long
each show was I bet it is at least 300 hours in a year. I can see him playing another 25 years or more. AARP can
sponsor his tours.
