Has anyone else explored Pat’s "Community : Writings link here? I have read several writings in the past, most notably two on Michael Brecker. I just read Pat’s liner notes from the 2004 ECM compilation record, Selected Recordings : Rarum. The format for this ECM series is the songs on the record were selected by the musician from his records on ECM as a leader or sideman. Pat selected his re cords from 1978-1985) Bright Size Life to Rejoicing. Pat’s notes are very extensive and informative on the song and the musicians. I highly recommend you check out this writing and the other writings at this website. Write on, Pat. |
