I’m a performing artist and we’ve decided to add the song "Afternoon" to our set. I purchased the sheet music but the lyrics were not included. I’ve been trying to find the original and/or translated words and not sure about the versions we’re finding. It seems like they’re missing the 2nd verse. Does anyone have the lyrics for this song. Like I said, I’d like to get it in the original language and translate it so that we can decide how we’re going to do it. Thanks in advance for any help given! Michael |

bt1972 : When I viewed the lyrics to Afternoon, it was a mix of Bona’s native language, English words and wordless
vocalizations. At least that’s my take.

The great Cameroon-born multi-instrumentalist Richard Bona sings on several tracks on the Speaking of Now record,
including "Another Life," "You," and "Afternoon." These are all wordless vocals, I believe, in keeping with a long-
standing PMG tradition, where the singer’s voice becomes another instrument, allowing the listener to supply the
particular meaning and emotion behind them.

Michael : I just did Google Search "Pat Metheny, Afternoon, lyrics". Several websites to choose from show the lyrics.
