Nice to see Pat’s artistry appreciated by Rick Beato. He did an interview with Pat a while ago; I just stumbled upon a post from Oct 30/24 where he looks at Pat’s live solo in Song for Bilbao - so good. |

Thanks for the spark to that "Bilbao" solo analysis from Rick, toneman. I’d seen the lengthy interview some time ago, but not the focus on "Bilbao." Beato is really psyched by the tune, and it’s cool to see him so enthused. I’d love to see a show where Pat does some version of "Song for Bilbao," but that’s not likely to ever happen. I did finally see him and Lyle do a beautiful take on "September Fifteenth" years ago, so, as they say, hope springs eternal for my "Bilbao" wish.
