Hey there, just wanted to share this podcast with the Pat community. I help produce this series here in Australia for
the ABC (Australia’s public broadcaster - kind of like our version of NPR or BBC). Pat was kind enough to be a guest
on the episode and share some insights, and we also delve into some older interview material too. It’s free to listen
to - no ads - so if you’re interested, please check it out. Lots of stories, music and discussion!

Thanks for checking it out, everyone. We have new artists featured every month too... plus previous eps like Keith
Jarrett, Joni Mitchell, Quincy Jones, etc... are still up =)

BobSmith, I believe the excerpt you mention at the 5:15 mark is from "Straight on Red" from the Travels album, one of my favorite records of the PMG oeuvre.

This was fantastic. Thanks for posting. I was pretty much riveted in-place for the entire hour. I especially liked Eric
Ajaye’s commentaries on Jaco, Eberhard Weber and Steve Swallow. As a bass player himself he had great comments on
each of them. I also thought the background music was perfect and I could not have picked a better soundtrack to go
with this. Just beautifully done! Question: What is the name of the song or song fragment that comes on at around 5:15
with the drums opening? I thought it might be from either of the live PMG records which I, unfortunately, haven’t
listened to in quite a while.
