I really hope Pat reforms at some point that great quartet comprised of Gwilym Simcock, Linda May Han Oh, and the incomparable Antonio Sanchez, from the “From This Place” recording. What I really want is to see and hear “Sixty-Six” live again. It’s one my all-time favorites of his and almost never fails to give me chills and even draw a tear. Antonio sets the tune ablaze! Great recording, great quartet. Whad’ya think? |

jcoyle: I am in 100percent agreement. Excellent record and band. I saw that quartet at the Kennedy Center in 2017 and at
the University of Wisconsin in 2018. Several years ago, I submitted a list of jazz musicians that I would like to see at
Orchestra Hall in Chicago to the person that is in charge of the annual Jazz Series. Top of the list was the quartet with
the Chicago Symphony Orchestra performing From This Place. Maybe one day it will happen. I would love to see
them reunite for anything Pat would create.
