Has everyone heard the superb tune "Our Old Street" on Side Eye III ? This is an absolutely wonderful PM composition with the composer’s patented mix of sadness and joy, tension and release on full display. 100percent pure Metheny genius. I was waiting for the emphatic synth solo at the end to resolve it all, but the master chose not to end it this way. As usual, there’s alot to unwrap, so it’s appropriate to listen more than once. Pat is one of the best composers of our time. |
