The other day I realized that this year is the 50th anniversary of the release of Bright Size Life. It holds up really well after all these years and Pat likes to revisit several of the songs with Side-Eye. |

I think that’s it’s amazing that Pat’s debut record was in the 2006 Jazzwise Presents "The 100 Jazz Albums That Shook
The World. It was #31. Pat was twenty-one years old when he recorded Bright Size Life. That’s one tour I never saw.

The track B & G from that album is one of Pat’s
greatest compisitions imho. A bit underplayed
in later years although it was the standout track
at one gig I went to with his late 2010s quartet.
Originally released on Gary Burton’s
Passengers album of course
