Question and Answer

Pat, This isn't a question as much as a thank you and comment on your music and how it's affected me. Being a fellow 'heartlander'(I'm from OK and saw you in Tulsa last Feb.), as well as a musician, it's amazing to hear that indescribable thing or sound that you create when you write specifically about being from the Midwest. I feel this was especially true on "Beyond the Missouri Sky". Charlie Haden and yourself absolutely captured that essence of rolling hills, prairies, etc...(reminded me of driving to and and from Wichita when in grad school) Truly amazing stuff!!! I want to thank you for your music. I can't even being to tell you how your music has influenced my life. It's pretty much all-encompassing. Thanks, Pat, from the bottom of my heart. Can't wait to hear what your future holds!

thank you so much - all of my great-grandfathers early years were spent in ok. in the "chautaqua". there are still alot of metheny's around there. glad you are getting the vibe of that zone from your listening - i appreciate the comments.
